Slowing Down to the Speed of Light
“Slowing Down to the Speed of Light” explores an adult ADHD diagnosis through a playful and provocative tale of a woman untangling a lifetime of stories while a girl from the future with a battered case, an old hat and an ancient map, searches for an ancestor lost in faerie.
Close by, a minstrel plays a song she’s never heard before and the Lady of the Lake keeps a promise. New stories are up for grabs and there are choices to be made, but will it be too late?
Storyteller, Jacqueline Harris, weaves the threads together with live and recorded original music composed for the show, and improvised sound, by the Norwegian cellist Maja Bugge.
Images and artefacts created by Dutch artist, Marjan Wouda.
Mise en Scene by Bob Frith, founder of Horse and Bamboo Theatre Company.
Dramaturgy with storyteller, Dominic Kelly.
